Extended warranties are also known as Vehicle Service Contracts or Vehicle Protection Plans. It’s different than auto insurance. Auto insurance will cover you for accidents, but warranties will cover mechanical and electrical breakdowns.

Not ALL warranties are created equal. There are lots of different types of programs and plans out there and we strive to enroll consumers in the best possible protection plans (extended warranties) that fit their needs.

Three Terms You Need to Know

• Administrator – this is the company that pays out repair claims once a vehicle breaks down.
• Pre-Existing Condition – a repair that is needed on a vehicle prior to its enrollment into warranty coverage.
• Underwriting Period – the term required by an administrator before the vehicle owner can file their first claim. Typically 30 days and 1,000 miles of driving.
