There are different requirements needed to do the job. Make sure that your work environment and technical systems match what we require below.
Stable Internet Connection
Since we use technology that calls consumers on a softphone (over the internet), stable internet is a must when working with SCC. If your internet consistently goes out (unstable) or you do not have enough bandwidth or download/upload speed, then you will not be able to do the job consistently.
You will need a headset that plugs directly into your computer and one that is compatible with Bria Teams (our internal messaging software and VOIP). Please see the Compatible Headsets page for headsets that work with Bria (it’s an extensive list and you should be able to find something for $20 or $30).
Windows 10-based computer (or higher)
We use software for quoting vehicles that only work with Windows 10. NO Chromebooks or Macs.
Quiet Working Space
You will need to have a quiet work environment in order to do the job. If you have loud roommates, live next to a carnival, or constantly have construction going on in or around your home – then this is not the job for you.
You will need to have a mid-level understanding of your computer and how it works. You will need to be able to type relatively quickly as you will be required to direct message managers when you are on a call with consumers. We use several applications including Bria Teams, FORTE, and Vanillasoft. You will need to know the difference between an application and a browser tab. You should also be familiar with a taskbar and how to search for items on your computer. Without these skills, it may be difficult for you to adapt to the fast-paced environment of working remotely with a professional sales team.
